Visualization alone doesn't help CMOs and demand gen marketers make decisions that actually move teams from "what happened?" to "what should we do?"
It’s a bold statement, but after talking with a lot of marketing professionals, I’ve seen that they have been using analytics tools for years, but all they are doing is making data look nicer.
This isn't just my biased perspective.
In Forrester's Marketing Measurement & Optimization report from 2025, they found that 74% of B2B marketing leaders say their analytics tools don't drive action.
That’s a lot of graphs, but they don’t answer key questions brought up in every leadership meeting: "So what should we change?"
These dashboards show data, but don't help drive decisions.
Why's that you ask?
Reporting only tells what happened. Yes, there are pretty charts and graphs and unified views across platforms, but you’re looking at the past and this is where 90% of these tools stop.
Explanation starts to expand and begins to tell why things happened. A good marketer will see that CTR dropped because audience fatigue hit on day 4 or that CPC spiked because three competitors launched campaigns targeting the same segment. Most tools don't do this at all.
Finally, recommendations actually tell a marketer what they should do next. A great recommendation engine will say something like ‘Turn off this audience, shift budget here, test this creative angle by Tuesday’.
Until now, no tools actually get here.
At Yirla, we’ve built an explanation and recommendation engine for demand gen marketers that actually close the loop on your campaigns.
