Remember 3-weeks ago when we were in 2025 and every marketing team was talking about using AI in their campaigns?
Well, 2026 is when great teams are actually going to use AI to make faster, better decisions leading to a stronger return on ad spend.
I’ve got 3-core predictions of what is going to happen in 2026:
- Weekly decision cycles will replace monthly reporting and will eventually get to quick, daily changes to campaigns.
- Great teams are going to abandon end-of-month dashboards for intra-week optimization
- Competitive advantage goes to whoever can react faster
- Competitive intelligence will become standard, not optional
- Knowing what competitors are testing (personas, messaging, channels) will be table stakes
- Teams that fly blind will lose deals before they even know they're in play
- AI will move from "interesting" to "operational"
- The question won't be "should we use AI?" but "which AI is making our decisions faster and more accurate?"
- Teams will demand explainability, not just automation
